The Fourth Basic Nyepi Rituals
Have you ever stayed in Bali during Nyepi? Some people do not feel comfortable because of the very silent situation. Now, i want to share some rituals performed during the Nyepi day in Bali.
1. Amati Geni means that no fire or light.
So, you can guess that Bali will totally dark at the night of Nyepi day.
2. Amati Karya means that no working.
Balinese people will do nothing at all for this reason.
3. Amati Lelunganan means that No traveling
They who celebrate Nyepi will not go out, just stay at home with the family.
4. Amati Lelanguan means that fasting and no revelry/self-entertainment
No watching tvs, listening to radios, or any other kinds of entertainments.
For some of you, the rituals may turn to be a boring situation but Balinese people believe that those four rituals are ways to purify their hearts and everything related.
